At The Family Place, we believe in the power of community to strengthen families and create meaningful connections. Family Dinner Series
The Family Dinner Series is a program hosted by GetSet Transylvania; a community collaborative that The Family Place is a lead agency. Each session features a rotating topic and provides families with the opportunity to share a meal, engage in meaningful conversations, gain educational insights, and participate in engaging hands-on activities.

Kindergarten Rediness Rally
Join us for the Kindergarten Readiness Rally, a fun and informative event for families with children ages 0-5! This exciting rally brings together community agencies and schools with programs for young children, offering a variety of booths and activities designed especially for rising kindergarteners.

GetSet
GetSet Transylvania is a community initiative dedicated to supporting young children and families in Transylvania County. It focuses on early childhood development, family engagement, and school readiness by providing resources, programs, and events that promote learning, health, and connection.
The Family Place is a founding partner of the GetSet Transylvania collaboration.
Halloween Fest
Join The Family Place at Heart of Brevard’s annual Halloweenfest, a beloved community tradition held the Saturday before Halloween in downtown Brevard! This family-friendly festival is packed with exciting activities, and we’re bringing one of our favorites—TFP’s famous swimming pool of corn (dry, not cooked!) where kids can jump in, dig, and play.
Stop by The Family Place booth for engaging children's activities and a welcoming spot for parents and caregivers to take a break. Enjoy the festival’s costume contest, bounce houses, trick-or-treating with local businesses, and more. Halloweenfest is always a fangtastic time, and we can't wait to see you there!
Join Us at National Night Out in Brevard!
The Family Place is excited to take part in National Night Out, a nationwide event that strengthens police-community partnerships and promotes neighborhood connections. Held annually in Brevard, this free community event brings families together for an evening of fun, safety awareness, and local resources.
