Open Play

Some days, you just need a change of scenery—a place where your child can explore, play, and burn off energy while you take a breath and connect with other caregivers. Open Play is just that space. Whether you're looking for a fun outing or simply need a moment to reset and recharge, you're always welcome to come as you are.

Both of our locations offer indoor and enclosed outdoor play areas filled with age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, movement, and social interaction. Play nurtures emotional, cognitive, and social development, helping children grow while strengthening family bonds. And while they play, you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a welcoming space to connect with others who understand the ups and downs of parenting.

No registration required—just drop in during an Open Play session, let your child play, and take a moment for yourself. Snacks and coffee are always available. Staff are onsite to answer questions and for support.

Playgroups

Discover the joy of learning through play! Playgroups at The Family Place offer a fun, engaging, and enriching experience where children and caregivers can explore, connect, and grow together. Each themed session is thoughtfully designed with age-appropriate activities, sensory play, music, and Storytime, creating the perfect environment for early learning and shared experiences.

Led by a dedicated facilitator, Playgroups provide hands-on guidance and encouragement, helping caregivers make the most of this special time with their little ones. Activities are flexible and designed to match young attention spans, ensuring a stress-free, engaging experience for everyone. Parent participation is key, making Playgroup not just a place for kids to play, but a chance for families to bond, learn, and build lasting connections.

Join us for a welcoming space filled with laughter, discovery, and meaningful moments—because play is learning, and learning is fun!

Circle of Parents

Parenting is full of joys and challenges, and no one should have to navigate it alone. Circle of Parents® is a friendly, supportive space where caregivers can connect, share experiences, and encourage one another in a welcoming environment. Whether you're looking for advice, support, or simply a place to be with others who understand, you are always welcome here.

Circles meet weekly, are free to attend, and provide a space to exchange ideas, gain valuable insights, and access helpful resources—all while enjoying snacks and a warm cup of coffee. While caregivers participate in Circle of Parents, children take part in Kids Circle, a fun, engaging program led by our Children’s Team facilitators in our interactive play spaces.

Open to all families and caregivers! Registration is required. Come as you are—because every caregiver deserves connection, support, and a little time to recharge.

Although I have lived in Brevard most of my life, when I had my son I didn't have any friends with children his age. Coming to The Family Place completely changed that. I now have lots of mom-friends and am connected to my local community.
