Title: Children's Program Supervisor

Hours: Part-Time 25 Hours
Rate of Pay: $15-$16 hour

Job Description:

The Children's Program Supervisor (CPS) supports the childcare needs of The Family Place programs according to National Association for the Education of Young Children guidelines. The CPS will be a trained facilitator for The Family Place Program curriculum's.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for scheduling of childcare staff.

- Plan a variety of age-appropriate activities for young children in all developmental areas

- Train in children’s programming curriculum and will use this during playgroups

- Work with the Program Director to train and supervise paid and volunteer staff

- Directly responsible for supervision of part-time childcare workers

- Facilitate playgroups, educational playtime and childcare

- Coordinate childcare activities to assure sufficient adult supervision of children

- Assist with evaluation data collection, including intake/outtake testing

- Work with the Children’s Program Supervisor to ensure both sites are coordinated on plans

- Organize and maintain clean and safe meeting room space and playroom

- Treat all staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners with respect

- Promote a positive image of The Family Place and reflect The Family Place’s values at all times

- Organize and implement field trips

- Data entry and management

- Participate in staff meetings

- Participate in outreach activities and special events

- Present to the Board of Directors as needed

- Serve on committees with community partners and other stakeholders as needed

- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Bachelors’ degree in Education/Early Childhood Development or related field and experience working with infants and young children preferred.

-  Current driver’s license, clean driving record and vehicle insurance.

-  Ability to work flexible hours.

- Consistent demonstration of treating all staff, children and families with care, respect and equity.

-  Train in all Family Place trainings which may include diversity/equity/inclusion, systems, CPR and others.

- Consistent demonstration of treating children and families with care and respect and equity.

-Ability to relate to a wide variety of people, model appropriate interaction skills and maintain confidentiality.

- Cultural competencies in interactions with staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners

- Certification for infant and child CPR and universal precautions or ability to receive certification.

-  Current driver’s license, clean driving record and vehicle insurance.

- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere.

- Ability to learn the data management system and submit client information regularly.

-  Ability to work independently and as a team member, with flexibility and adapt ability to project needs.

- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.

- Attention to detail, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

- Ability to pass a background check, which will include Sex Offender Registry check

-  Bilingual preferred.

Job Description
The Childcare worker supports the childcare needs of Family Place programs according to NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) guidelines. The childcare worker will supervise children of all ages under the guidance of the Children’s Program lead.
